BJC Community Engagement Associate Devin Withrow will be part of a panel exploring Christian nationalism as part of a new “Building Beloved Community Series” created by Actions in Faith & Justice in Rowan County. The panel, titled “Christian Nationalism: Then & Now” will explore what Christian nationalism is, its historical and theological implications, how we see Christian nationalism showing up in our communities today (especially in public education), and what we can do about it.
Withrow will be speaking alongside the Rev. Suzanne Parker Miller, founder and executive director of Pastors for NC Children, and the Rev. Kimberly Clark Turner, director of the Center for Bold Leadership at Hood Theological Seminary in Salisbury, NC.
It will be held at the Rowan Museum from 7-8:30pm on Tuesday, March 24, located at 202 North Main Street in Salisbury, North Carolina. (This event was originally scheduled for February but has been rescheduled for March 24.)
