Federal Court: Destruction of Sacred Tribal Ground Not a “Substantial Burden” on Religious Exercise Under RFRA

Tribal elders made the case in a federal court in Oregon that the destruction of a sacred burial site violated their religious freedom rights under RFRA, but a court ruled they failed to make their case.

4th Circuit Declines to Rehear Bladensburg Cross Case

Thankfully, the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, by a 8-6 vote, has agreed that the cross is indeed a Christian symbol. They voted to leave in place a ruling that the Bladensburg Memorial cross is unlawful.
