According to the Houston Chronicle's Texas Politics blog, the Education Board was unable to complete work drafting new curriculum standards and decided to adjourn without finishing. They will resume their work in March, pushing the final vote back to May. The Texas Freedom Network has more, referring to the process as "more like a party platform than a social studies curriculum."
